Reading and literacy are among the most important skills to develop in students. The Open Chapter Literacy Foundation can help schools and communities get the resources they need to support English language instruction.
We strive to provide resources for every student that needs them, including those that are most vulnerable and disadvantaged. Our aim is to give every student an opportunity to succeed by closing the gap and supporting our schools equitably.
Open Chapter was founded in 2026 and is operated by two San Jose locals and friends, Alex Qin and Matthew Fan. We strongly believe in the necessities of literacy, from supporting individual quality of life to fostering the strength of our community.
